HPL (High Pressure Laminate) bezeichnet eine unter Hochdruck verpresste Laminatoberfläche, die zur Beschichtung von Holzwerkstoffen wie Multiplexplatten eingesetzt wird. Je nach Aufbau und Qualität kann HPL eine robuste und pflegeleichte Oberfläche bieten, allerdings sind nicht alle HPL-Varianten gleich widerstandsfähig – die Eigenschaften hängen vom Herstellungsverfahren, den eingesetzten Harzen und der geplanten Nutzungsklasse ab.
