epicPLY floor panel with cork core – vibration-damping, lightweight, sustainable
Maximum comfort in your van starts with the floor: Our epicPLY floor panel with a cork core is the perfect choice for your campervan conversion – vibration-damping, heat- and sound-insulating, yet lightweight and sustainably produced. Thanks to its precisely fitting tongue-and- groove connection , it can be installed quickly and seamlessly. The result? A stable, quiet floor – for more driving pleasure and living comfort while traveling.
Smooth driving, quiet living – thanks to the cork core
The 13 mm thick epicPLY base plate consists of two 4 mm thick epicPLY multiplex panels and a 5 mm cork layer, while the 20 mm version consists of two 5 mm thick panels and a 10 mm cork layer. This offers tangible advantages:
- Reduces vibrations and rattling noises while driving
- Noticeable sound insulation in the interior
- Improved thermal insulation – comfortable in cold and heat
The elastic properties of cork ensure a smoother, more comfortable ride – and are noticeable with every kilometer.
Lightweight, powerful in use
Despite its multi-layered construction, our epicPLY floor panel remains surprisingly lightweight. This not only simplifies installation but also saves weight in the overall vehicle – a clear advantage in lightweight construction. At the same time, the panel is stable and durable – made for countless adventures.
Easy installation thanks to practical folding joint
Each tile features a precise 60 mm groove along its long sides. This allows multiple floor tiles to be joined together accurately and seamlessly. This means: no time-consuming rework, no misalignment, no gaps – simply lay them, and you're done.
Recommendation for fastening the base plate
Our epicPLY floor panel with cork core can be flexibly installed depending on the construction option. For maximum stability and noise reduction, we recommend full-surface bonding .
- Directly on the vehicle floor: The floor panel can be glued directly onto the original vehicle floor without any additional substructure – quickly, cleanly and permanently stable.
- When using a substructure: If a substructure made of wooden slats (e.g., with insulation material such as Armaflex or rock wool in between) is used, the floor panel should also be glued to the substructure . This prevents screws from loosening during operation and thus prevents annoying creaking or movement under the floor covering .
Sustainability meets quality
Like all epicPLY products, our cork flooring is also environmentally friendly and responsibly produced:
- Cork from sustainable forestry
- Wood from FLEGT-certified cultivation
- CO₂-neutral production
- For every tree felled, we plant 6 new ones with Fairventures
This way you're not only making a smart choice for your van – but also for our planet.
